Does anyone make a program to change shift points and ether parameters. The main things are moving my shift points to 6200rpm and helping the Ally deal with a 2800rpm stall.

You might give Steve a call at TTS Power Systems. The web site indicates a Power Loader 2 for the 8.1. www.ttspowersystems.com (http://www.ttspowersystems.com)

Buy the Allison DOC program for your pc and make any change you need to make. But there is two downfalls to this, 1st it is pricey, 2nd you have to go get certified through Allison to make those changes to the TCM. I have the DOC program to read codes and make minor adjustments, but i have not got my certification to make the more technical changes.

Even with a DOC program and being certified by Allison I don't think they will allow you those parameters. Something about a bomb blowing up through the floorboard at high RPM. I do not recommend it.

I worked for a Detrot Diesel dealer at one time I still have freinds that work there as Allison mech I'll use one of them to get it.

What you said reminds me of watching hot shots circle track racing. They were spining them damn 2-cycle Detrots 4000-5000rpm and ran a Allison with a scatter blanket. But hell that was 15 years ago.

The late Allys can come up through the floor just like the old ones.

Yea I know but the thing is of the guys I talked to it never happen but it still could. As to this point I,ve turned my 8.1 5000-5500rpm more times than I could count and I doun't think 6000rpm will hurt but I could be wrong I'll just have to find out.

They will not make those type of changes for you, because it leaves a program # on your TMC, which tells Allison who was last connected to your TCM, along with the date and time it was performed. It all goes back to the dealership and tech.

Mike L. It will allow you to make those changes per different engine applications.

I seriously doubt that Allison will ever know it was done. It never goes to a dealer and I do all the work myself and its out of warranty. But I was talking about using my man to get the program. I know how Allison worred about liability. I have 14 trucks that have 4060P and its allwas been a pain to get Allison to change something.
