Truck has 35k on it. rides fine on the highway, but not great around town with the slightest bump, very disappointing.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Did a search seems most of you folks suggest the Bilstiens. I had them on my 95 dodge 1500, and hated them. it turned my sloppy ride into a kidney bruiser.

And that is where I am now, 2500 D/A is sloppy as any truck I have ridden in recently, My guess is one or more is blown.

so the Bilstiens you guys suggest, how stiff? Will I kick my self? Thinking about the R9000. just don’t know any one who get down and changes them, so I'd rather find a shock that doses not need adjusting.

I'm happy with my bilsteins. Truck rides alot better. Check
with Rancho, I think the 9000 series has an incab adjuster for some
extra money.

I really like the Bilstiens. They really smoothed out the ride and they don't seem any stiffer than the stock shocks. It's a shame that GM puts $5 shocks on a $50k truck.

4wheel parts has a deal running now where you get the incab controller on the Ranchos free with the purchase of 4 shocks until the end of this month, I believe.

Bilsteins were too stiff for me in the rear. I like them in the front, but the rear rode very firm. Putting them in the front took care of the bouncing I got on the freeway. I Returned the rear set, and went back to the OEM's. I had them in a 2000 K2500 CC SB, and had the same issues...too firm in the rear when unloaded. I would look closer at the Rancho's if you are looking for a softer ride.Edited by: Roegs
