Keep it in 'tow mode'. I am sure you can but if u read the bullydog manuel it says not recommended BUT you can tow something light ie: bassboat. Which stock will be more than adequate for that. Towing heavy in performance mode you're EGT's may climb to unsafe tempratures.

Hey since both of you have some experience with the triple dog I was wondering how you liked it? I like both EFI and PPE also, but I have a chance to get the triple dog much cheaper than either.

Great tuner. No problems out of it and the EGT's ran pretty low.

Depends on what your pulling, I pull my jetski in Performance all the time. But anything heavier i would tune it down.

i am a used rv dealer i tow any where from a 16ft to 40ft trailer.

I actually noticed the same thing. The extra power means you dont have to use the throttle as much as if u were running pure stock truck meaning egt's will normally be cooler. What also helped is that I deleted the muffler and ran a straight 4inch stainless pipe.

This is interesting, I went a picked up a 2500 lb flat deck the other day and towed it about 50 miles home on performace (forgot tuner at home couldnt change it) and I was really hoping I didnt hurt nothing, I went up a 5% grade for about 2 miles too..... I wasnt impressed at my memory skills but the out side temps were like 32F. I still dont have a Pyro, I have to decide on PMT or Outlook.....

Hey forgot about the performance tune myself and had to bail my brother-inlaw out of situation when his '05 PSD took a s**t while he was towing his camper. Not sure of the length, would say 25ft and he said 7k on the weight. Now I only had to tow it about 15mi but some hills and interstate at 70mph that is when I told the wife "See this is why I need gauges" Stuck in Perf mode and having to tow a load like that. Well truck is ok and seems to be fine. But have no idea how EGT's did, just know they did not get hot enough long enough to kill it on the spot.

PS the best part is when we were on the interstate and I noticed my brother inlaw looking at the speedo. I could not help myself so I asked him..."Never had the trailer this fast have you?" haha He did not say much. Oh yeah we were going up a hill that was even better. And that is him in the pic
