: just thought of something ???
datsbad 10-17-2004, 08:18 PM when i stack my quad 215 and juice 125 of course the egt's go over the juice box limit, so does this mean it is pulling fuel off afterthat limit like it is supposed to ? if so that means i can push enter twice fast and override the egt backdown , but it automatically goes to the level 5 setting which i cant run because it burst , i need to only run level 4 .
do you follow me here ?
am i losing power being on level 4 and the egt going over ?
Mackin 10-17-2004, 08:24 PM You can disable EGT backdown.I figure a must for competition.

BMDMAX 10-17-2004, 08:27 PM That stack yields almost the exact same times on my truck. What was your 60' time?
If the EGT backdown is working then you should definitely pick up some. I can run the level 5 on mine so I do use the backdown disable on the Attitude occasionally but I actually prefer disconnecting the EGT lead at the Edge box when racing.
That way you don't have to worry about it before every run and you know it wont be a problem.
Only one way to be sure, run it at the track and find out!

The Attitude defaults to level 5 when you enable the EGT override. His truck bursts with the Q215 / HJAT Level 5 but does handle the level 4 stack. It is a real catch 22. That's why I just disconnect the lead.
Mackin 10-17-2004, 08:42 PM I don't use the EGT probe.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif Isn't there also a time (delay) setting too?

You can set how long you want the EGT limiter override active, from one minute up to 30 minutes.
I was not going to hook mine up either but I figured a probe in each bank would be cool. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley16.gif
sdaver 10-17-2004, 09:40 PM hook it up post turbo.................I have one (ATTITUDE)post and one pre(autometer) 1500 post turbo should be enough
datsbad 10-17-2004, 11:48 PM so then my truck would have went faster? DAMN , i knew i should have asked this before i ran today .
so my juice was pulling fuel because egts went over 1500 right? and if i just disconect the egt probe the juice wont see the egt to pull fuel from it , am i right on this ? this may be my ticket to the 12's without nitrous. and i know as close as i was with a 13.06 that if i launched it harder it would have went a 12.99 i think .
BMDMAX, am i thinking correctly ???
Mackin 10-18-2004, 06:19 AM Go back to the track with the EGT probe disconnected, but shed some weight.
Mac
datsbad 10-18-2004, 12:02 PM i really am clueless to what else to remove , i'll be damn if i am going to remove every peice of plastic and screws that hold it together like those import guys do . i see them at the track with what looks like the whole car parted out sitting there to get the fastest time !
it is a funny sight , all that work and maybe a tenth ? haha
seriously , what should i do ?

You are thinking correctly.
Definitely try a run with the probe disconnected. All you can do to shed some weight is pull one battery, remove the spare, remove the tailgate, pull the back seat out and get rid of anything else that is not nailed down.
FWIW, I have never pulled any of that stuff and still got into the 12's with that stack.
Give it a shot and let us know and congrats on the good numbers! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gifEdited by: BMDMAX
datsbad 10-18-2004, 01:01 PM thanks for the congrats , i wil try it next time i am there . not sure when . i might still get the NOS and then go . i will keep everyone updated .
MaxFarmer 11-01-2004, 08:36 PM What is the exact way to disable the EGT backdown on the Attitude? Is it just hit enter twice really fast? Do you have to be in stage 5 to do it or does it just default to 5 automatically?
Thanks,
Jason

Pull the back seat out, front pass. seat out , pull one battery, tailgate. Those are easy ones. If you want to get more serious, rear bumper(fiberglass roll pan), trailer hitch...............
baimpala 11-01-2004, 09:24 PM Heck, Tony, if you put stock sized tires back on instead of those heavy 33's, you might be closer than you think!
