I bought my 99 Sub a couple of months ago. It had a little water damage. Carpet was wet but still dry on the trans tunnel. I changed fluids in everything just to make sure. Just now finally starting to drive it.

I have driven about 250 miles and it has used a half tank of gas ( 40 gallon tank). Does this sound normal.

With all the tranny problems I see posted on here, I was wondering if something could be wrong with mine.

At 70 mph the engine is running about 2200 rpm. Seems a little high to me like it's not going into OD.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Depends on your R&P ratio and tire diameter.

2200 sounds about right @ 70 to me if you have 31" tires and 4.11 rear end ratio.

2200 doesn't sound bad. I whish my would do that. - - > 2700 @ 70:shootself

I would be happy with that! My 454 dually runs about 2700 at 70 also. 75 and she is almost at 3000 :eek:
