I just downloaded the Power pup 75 hp setting and when you put the allison in the tow/haul mode it acts like it slips before it shifts. The rpm's jump up about 300-500 more real quick before it shifts. Is that normal? When the tow/haul mode is off everything is normal, I was expecting this to be when it shifts hard when the ally is learning.

And one more question, until the water temp hits about 180 degrees the engine noise is louder, sounds like the old 6.5 chevy diesel's. It quiets down after the water temp hits about 180. I just started noticing this after I installed the power pup. And it has been starting to get a little cooler around here, didn't know if this is a duramax thing or because of the power pup? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Thanks George

first off my seams a bit different on tow haul mode as well like you exsplaned, when towing it is not as bad in tow haul and the other question is because of the extra timing the pup adds, can be quite loud when really cold, i also have a pup without timing and those problems are not a concearn with it

You will need to give the transmission time to adjust to the new power, it will learn and then your shifts will feel fine... Give it about a week...
