I went outside last night to see what my kid was calling me about only to see my truck's brake lights on with no one inside. even to trailier brake thing was showing that the brake was depressed, but it wasn't. Anybody else had this problem, I'm guessing that it's a switch but just asking to make sure first.

yeah i'd check the brake switch first, then the trailer light wiring.

On my 93 it's always pushing the switch sideways and out of alignment.

Have a close look for dirt and water in the back side of the trailer wiring connector, had it happen on a my truck, it was applying the trailer brakes as well as turning on the brake lights. At first I thought the truck was losing power, then I noticed the light on the brake controller was red, then smoke from trailer. Had to pull over and cut the wire to the trailer brakes, then rewire when I got off the highway.
