if you look up from under teh filter head, you will see the rear port is tied to the "outside" of the filter media which is the inlet. the "inside" of the filter media goes up through the nipple in the filter head and through the outlet of the filter.

... and so you want find the pickup (supply) line that goes from the tank to the stock filter. Disconnect it at the tank (I assume 2007.5 is similar/same as earlier years?!?!) and run from the tank (pickup/supply) to the inlet of the Nictane filter (that will feed to the outside part of the filter).

The filters filter from the outside of the filter element to the center.

So the outlet of the Nictane filter (from the center of the filter when it's installed) then connects to the line that goes to the stock filter.

You shouldn't be messing with any lines that go to or from the fuel cooler in front of the tank!

(Nick will correct me if I'm wrong, please.)

I prefilled the Cat filter. Truck started right up and didn't have to bleed it.

Then I drove about 50 miles into the mountains, stopped for a few (10-15?) minutes to find some wood blocks for leveling (was camping), restarted the truck and started to move it up on blocks and it quit running. Cranked a few times and it wouldn't start. Thought about it for a few minutes then got out a screwdriver and bled/pumped it a little at the stock filter; thought it was a little soft, but it was dark and I couldn't see if air came out. Got back in and it started up. Haven't had a problem since. I do plan to crawl back under and make sure the hose clamps are all tight.

When I installed mine no problems, primed a bunch until fuel came out. Started the truck and haven't had any problems since. Filters have almost 20k miles on them and I need to think about replacing them.

Decided to change the filters, next time it will be the cat only, the oem filter had almost no wear....the cat was almost used up. Showed the tech at the dealer and he was suprised at how good it did. Thanks Nick for a great setup.
