Well I ordered my setup from CPMac and will be picking it up when I fly
down to OKC at the beginning of November. The junk DMF just didn't like
the power added to it by the Quad. It started off by making a vibration
noise when driving around and lately it makes a terrible racket if the
clutch is not pushed in and I am in neutral. It sure will be nice to
have something in there that I will not have to worry about anymore. So
how long did it take you guys to put yours in?

LOL -- misunderstood what you meant. Craig did mine in a couple of hours, but I would imagine it would take most of a day for most people.

Make sure you have your tools ready. I believe the flywheel bolts are 8mm allen head. GM recommends using new bolts although most don't bother -- if you want to have some of those waiting.

Removing the DMF is often be the tricky part -- if you "spun" it you will have to rotate the outter half to access the bolts. I would ask Craig for tips and tricks on this.Edited by: Michigana_Joe

CP can do a single with very little help in under 2 hours. However, I would plan on 5 to 6 at least. The hard part is all the little stuff. Don't try to take the tcase and tranny off together.

make shure you have it lined up good with the alignment tool makes the tranny go home much ezer, and the DMF is a pain to get off if it is sprung...back one bolt out so the head holds the flyweel holes lighned up while you take the rest out and then take the last one out while holding the dmf aligned with a punch or bar Edited by: OSUDuramax
