The forum talks about the 6 spd. but no mention of the 5 spd. Is it stronger or dose it have its weak points too. Any comments about 5 spd. vs 6 spd.? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Zorganov 10-16-2004, 07:48 PM as soon as you order a stick shift with the Duramax, you automatically get the 6 speed. I don't think GM puts the 5 speed on anything bigger than the 6.0L gasser.
