I have an 3004n lb7 with an allision trans, I took the advice of the local parts store and bought valvoline Dextron tpyV and put in my truck, during this change I replaced the spin on filter and removed the pan. After running to truck fro 1 week it started to wear on me that I quite possiably put the wrong type of fluid in. The next weekend I repeated the process with dextron typ 3. Should I be concernd? Should I buy 5 gallons of tpy3 and do a complete flush?

Dexron 5 is a better fluid than 3. Matter of fact, 2006 model or later calls for no lower than Dexron 6

I've never heard of DEX V; as far as I know, they went from DEX III(h) right to DEX VI. If you had a typo, and used DEX VI, it was the right choice. DEX VI is a much improved fluid over DEX III(h). Nearly 2x the oxidation and viscosity capabilities.
