At the very least you could trade into a 2500HD for a bit lower payment...even if you did go a few years older. Or you could join the rest of the working world....the deal with my wife was if I bought the truck, I was to get a part time job to make its payment.

Hauling RV's I think is pretty good $$$$$. Lots of guys do it. I haul scrap but I also own the scrap and I make good money on the loads I've hauled. Made $750,the last trip.

load that thing up, best I've done is a little over $3000 for a load of iron (parts from 3 scrapped 10k forlifts).

Do a google search for hot shot hauling. There is plenty of work for full and partial loads. I did the same crap you were doing. You have to take three cars or more to make any money. I bought a 40' step deck and do freight. I'm out of Chicago and get 2- $2.50 a mile headed out. Coming home is usually not the same. Depends where I'm at. I've had to deadhead only twice coming home. Just got back from Vegas. Took some A/C curb units out there for 3700 and came home with a empty container unit for 1900. There's work out there. Alot of hot shot work in Texas as well. I see many working out there when I go through there. Good luck
