I have a brand new heath diesel fuel pump for a 97 6.5 I see some of you have installed these to minimize fuel problems. my question is best place to mount pump and best place to get power. also is this enough pump for this truck pull a 4horse gooseneck trailer 12k. Any other thoughts on this subject is appreciated still getting over sticker shock:eek: on a 5year old truck with 50k on it. My 97 3500 was only 19k in 2000 with 60k on it. Truck is bone stock think it always has been?? thank you in advance.

If you plan on keeping the truck stock, I don't see the need for a lift pump. It'a just one more thing to quit working in the middle of no where. I'd focus on keeping the factory fuel filter changed at regular intervals and go on down the road.
