I consistently get 22.5mpg highway driving. It's a 2002 GMC 1ton extended cargo van with 3.73 gearing. My dmax gets about 2.5mpg better usually.

My '95 GMC 4x4 1500 gets about 650km per tank and 80litres to fill. I calculate that to be 406miles and 20 US gals or 20.3 MPG. (23-24 miles per Canadian Gallon) 75% Highway 25% city

My new 04.5 Dodge 3500 4x4 Cummins 600 gets about 600km per tank and 110L fill. I calculate that to be 375miles and 27.5 US gals or 13.5 MPG. Stop and Go driving kids to school and such. The Dodge has 18,000km and is going in for re-flash tomorrow (low fuel economy and white smoke on start-up) No comparison in power...

My '96 Ford Powerstroke Diesel with 150k miles on it got about 16mpg city and at least 22mpg hwy before I sold it. My Burb so far gets about 14 mpg city, but then again it hasn't been running long enough for me to get a real good sense of what the gas mileage is. My wife took it on a 3000 mile round trip to Cali before it blew both head gaskets, but she didn’t keep track of the mileage. It is a 2500 with 4.10 gears, so the mileage is not really going to be great unless I change the rear end

my 97 6.5 never gets over 17 no matter how i drive. my buddies 97 7.3 powerstroke never gets over 15. my roommates 01 24valve cummins gets 18-19. my other buddy back home has a 12valve cummins that gets 22-23. i dont know how he does it because this thing is turned up so much for truck pullin and it just rolls the smoke. if you get behind it at a light, you wont be able to see much for a while after he takes off.
