Hey all. Friend of mine has an older car where his headlight
(plastic lenses) are hazy. Milky might be a better description.

In another post someone said that Zaino made a plastic cleaner.
Before he goes ahead and tries it, I want to ask if the Zaino cleaner
will work for this application. Or if there is something else
that people know will work. And ofcourse, I can't find the
post. I think it was the Zaino cleaner that was mentioned.

I have a plastic polish I got thru my buddy at the body shop

It is a white liquid and do not know who makes it as it fell into a can for me.........http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

I will see if I can find out..........if not try an autozone or just get a 3M product .........

I use the Zaino Clay Bar to clean, 303 to protect...Of coarse since I
303ed them all the stuff just comes right off...

Kartattack; yup, that was the one. Really believe the stuff works good?

On Edit: Did you use both products, or just the one?

All I have used is the #10 and it works well for what I have used it
on. I used it on Helmet visors when I raced karts, headlights,
canopies, instrument clusters, and about any other smooth
plastic. If his headlights are really bad, he should probably use
the #17 first.

I am not affiliated with any company that makes or sells this stuff,
and I don't care where you buy it. I just use it. For a few
bucks ($15?), what does he have to lose
if it doesn't work like I say?

I used a product I got from Tap Plastics (not sure if that's just a Ca chain)to clean the headlight oxidation on a Crown Vic I used to have. Worked like a champ.

Any plastic polish should work...

I wonder what Plexis (sp) would do?

Talked to the friend. Got an e-mail back from Zaino (I
presume) They recommended a kit. Had a few things in
it. Am supposed to forward supplier web site to him.

1200 grit(or finer) sandpaper and clear spray paint(make sure it's safe for plastics). Also works well on Jeep soft top windows. Just try a small spot first to make sure it won't harm anything
