I want to replace the injectors in my 1989 2599 which has a 2000 non-turbo 6.5 GM crate motor in it.
Are the injectors the same as those in my 6.5 TD's?
Are the injectors in my 6.5 TD's 1994 - 1998 - interchangeable?

I believe you can find what you're looking for here.....

Being a non-turbo, that that make it naturally aspirated?

Thanks
I'm naturally aspirated - Most of the time anyway. The rest of the time I wouldn't define as unnaturally aspirated - more like supernatural

Here and I was always under the impression that I could swap the injectors from a Turbo into my truck if need be.

Now my question is where should I go to buy a set of injectors for the 6.5 non-turbo in my truck?

you could try Heath Diesel. He should have everything you could need for that truck.

Y'know, that's an interesting thought...

The difference between N/A injectors and Turbo injectors is +14 bar (from 126 to 142)... (205 psi pop pressure)

The difference between Turbo and Marine injectors is only +8 bar (118 psi pop pressure)

If they're the same (other than that), would putting TD injectors into a naturally-aspirated motor be like putting marine injectors into a turbo motor?

I wonder if they would make the thing run rich (high EGTs), or just give more power?

Anybody have some experience in this one?

Well...They definitely would not run "rich" since the quantity of fuel injected is controlled by the injection pump. Techically, what we have spraying the fuel into the chamber is a nozzle not an injector. This is because the nozzle does not perform any metering function it provides the correct spray pattern with a predictable delay. Because of this, I don't see a problem with running TD nozzles in a NA engine...

As always, your mileage may vary. Batteries not included. Some assembly required. Void where prohibited by law. Prolonged exposure may result in a mild burning irritation, sudden nausea, vomiting, diverticulitis, hiccups, acne, uncontrolled flatulence, and sweaty palms.
