I'd like to change the factory spin-on fuel filter on my LLY, but all this part number confusion is taxing my little brain.


Let me see if I have this straight:


The actual LLY filters are no longer available, and a new filter with a black stripe is going to be produced, but it isn't available yet either.


So, if you want to change your fuel filter on an LLY right now, you have to use an LB7 filter?


The parts guy gave me an AC Delco TP 1298 to use on my LLY.


This is the LB7 filter, correct? And it will be completely fine to use?

Everything i've read says the filters are interchangeable and that both filters use the same guts even though the LLY filter is longer outside. Believe there's some thing in the Tech Bulliten section about this.
