I was wanting to know how anyone trimed their plastic spoiler on their bumper to account for larger tires? Mine likes about a 1/4" from touching. Any pic's will be appreciated.
P.S. Is the plastic the same color all the way through, or is it just painted?

I just had bf goodrich m/t 265 installed and the fit is perfect.might have to trim with 285
The airdam is painted not solid. I turned my wheels to the point of maximum interference then took masking tape and marked where I wanted to cut. With 315's I started 1/3 the way up from the bottom and went down taking about 1 1/4" off the bottom. You won't need as much with 285's. Use a very sharp knife and cut up. Otherwise you'll have a problem starting your cut. Check my pics. Pic "dmax4" shows it the best. I was concerned before cutting it would flop too much or flake the paint but it held up well. I trimmed mine on its first day home. I used blue painters tape and started 4" up from the bottom and forward 1". I drew a nice arc with a pencil on the tape so it looked factory and started trimming. I used a Dremel tool with a cut-off wheel to knock off the tip. Here is the after.

Dmaxfan,
I have 285/75 's on mine and did not have to trim anything.
I probably put 600-700 miles on them before they even touched the inner fender skirt on a hard to lock, downhill turn.
I turned the torsion bars up 3 full turns, more to level the truck out then for clearance and they have yet to touch again with 40,000 + miles on them.

Hum...I don't think about this. I had to do some trimming to fit 37" tires on my Silverado HD but the plastic on the bottom of the bumper is different.
