Well im new to the diesel world but I have drove a few other 6.5 TD and only on mine does it shake. Every time I turn off the truck ( it doest matter if its hot, cold, ) It shakes like it wants to keep running almost. Im thinking a leaking injector?...can I get some input....Thanx guys

You need to replace, and I mean fast, post haste, your harmonic balancer on the front of the crankshaft. This is a weak point on the 6.5, and over time will weaken and eventually snap your crank in two, causing irrepairable damage to the motor.

Hurry my friend.

In theory the Fluidamper balancers seem sound. It is true that an approach like theirs can compensate for a wider range of frequencies than rubber can. Rubber also degrades over time, as the failure of your balancer shows.

Finally, there are some reports that the enhanced performance of the fluidamper balancer leads to significant gains in drive-ability and smoothness. I'm sure if you purchased it we would all love a first-hand report.

Sincerely,

Rob :)

While inspecting the harmonic balancer is a good idea at ~100kmi, you most likely have a broken\deterioated rubber motor mount\isolator, possibly even the transmission isolator - have someone switch the IGN off while you observe the action from several vantage points around the front of the truck - you can use a bottle-jack and small block of wood under each side pan-rail at the front to determine which side - same at the transmission tailshaft.

Oddly enough, my truck shakes worse after installing new mounts from MrGoodrwench - go figger..........

Call Bill Heath on the fluiddamper.
