has anyone installed icc lites on the back of his bed?..meaning..under the tailgate theres a place just above the bumper for the three lights..anyone seen these?? anyone istalled these..do they just plug in underneath somewhere to a connection? tks, bobhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif Edited by: bob camire
My '02 came with a slim light under the tailgate as your speaking of. It fastens with two phillips screws at each end and the wire comes through a hole in the center. There may be a plug already under your truck? Check with a GMC dealer and get the one that belongs there. I happened to notice only because mine was broken during the hurricanes.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

maybe thats what the plug is behind the trailer harness plug? when i was under there last night mounting my backup lights, i noticed a little pill-size plug in the back of the mounted plug for trailer lights. i figured it was a fuse but when i opened the cap, its a female plug. i also noticed the cutout in the plastic when i was washing it yesterday and wondered what that was for. anybody got a picture of the lights mounted? thanks
Duallys have to have them. Check one on a dealer's lot for the electrical hookup. It's probably there just need to find it and order the lights.

Like this? It's less than $20 at your GM dealer.
The little plug that haneym is talking about is for the CHMSL for camper caps, etc.

why do duallys have to have em? are duallys also required to have clearance lights up top? i have always wondered the purpose of em and if it was required by law to have em. duallys dont sit any higher than other 3/4 or 1 tons. thanks guys as always
Any vehicle over a certain width must have the added lights. I think it's 8.0' but don't quote me. That's why duallys have the three lights in the center and an extra side marker on the fender. Not sure about roof markers. Might be the same rule if they are standard on duallys. I hate the 3 in 1 center light so I never paid attention.

In installed them on my 2500HD D/A; I have a black truck so it definitely makes the rear of the truck more visable especially at night. The lights can be purchased through Dmaxallitech's website.
