Those prices are very high, most are twice what you can get the filters for locally...except for the OEM oil filter...it's over triple what I paid. Then add shipping, too??

O'reilly's.com or their stores. Fuel filter $26. Free shipping on orders over $75

Then you should just do that...buy them locally. Why would you post something like this on the forum? That's just wrong. I feel that buying from a supporting vendor is better in most cases. Especially since Eric is a great asset to this site. His prices are a little cheaper for me since the places here in alaska think that just because it is alaska they can charge whatever they want. Having the supporting vendors is what is keeping this site running and free for all of us....not to mention the knowledge they have and pass on for free.

I posted because the OP wanted to know where to get filters...obviously concerned with quality and price. If you want to buy from a vendor...go ahead, but I'm not paying anybody three times the normal price for something (plus shipping), vendor or not.

Those filters you're buying, are they OEM, frams or some other brand? I don't have the places to pick up parts like the lower 48...small price to pay to have all this beauty and open space IMO. Not to mention the hunting, fishing, and 24 hours of daylight in the summer. The dealer up here really is a stealer when it comes to parts...auto parts stores aren't much better...my last fuel filter I bought from napa was $46. I understand that you wanted to let him know where to buy filters, but you shouldn't have made the comments that you made about Eric.
