Here is the pattern. I will be coating it in a ceramic slurry and pouring it tomorrow. Should be much better than the initial attempt. I will post more pictures when I get a good casting. I added a ruler this time for your reference. The standoffs fit between the bolts that hold the trans cooler(?). Should look factory when done.

I have to agree with Lee that the standoffs should be thicker so they don't cool so fast.
Other than that, looking forward to the cast.

I'm not all that concerned with the standoffs cooling more rapidly than the rest of the casting. They are extremities anyway. The texture of this cast should be very nice. I will try to get some pitcures of the break-out. The process of coating it with refractory was a real beeeatch. The sprue I used was huge so there should be no problems with shrinkage. The ceramic coating should keep everything in place. I think it will turn out well. We'll see when Monday comes around.
