I'll be getting a 6" Tuff country lift installed and the wheel and tire set up I have chose are the Toyo MT's in a 35x12.50x18 and the wheels are Ultra Titans 262, that are 18x9 and the tire shop tells me I have to run a medium offset (I think its a +12 offset) and the ones I want have a -12 offset, will I have a problem running the ones I want? Their talking about cuttting the lower section on the metal part of the bumper and 4+ inches in the inner fender.

I would go with the medium offset if it was me and I have tried them all. Are you dealing with one of the Les Schwabs in Pocatello?

Yeah their the only one's that had the wheel in stock for me to see how it would look against mine.

You should't have a problem especially with the 6". I have a 0 offset right now with only a 4" TC and don't have any problems. My moto's are on the way and they are -12 which many people run and don't have any problems either.

Thats what I thought cause in the book it says that a -12 offset is for lifted rear wheel drive vehicles. So where does the tire shop get off by telling me its not going to work. I'm going to call around to some other shops and get their input on the matter. I asked Schwabs first because I see more lifted trucks coming out of their store than any other around town and that their main brand off lift happens to be Tuff Country.

I am pretty sure you will be fine with the -12offset on a 9inch wheel. The front isn't the biggest issue - more than likely you will only need to trim the black plastic. I test drove a new body style (smaller wheel wells) earlier this week with a 6in on it, 35/12.50/20s - 20x9 - with -25 offset and it rubs but only a little after trimming...This is why I say you should be okay.

BTW - I have had more than one tire shop (Schwab included) try and get me to be "safe" on my offset choice - they like all wheels to be UNDER the wheel well - they dont like sending anything away that rubs due to liability. A little rubbing never hurt anyone..

Cool, I guess if they want to sell me the wheels with the -12 offset, I'm in business and if not I'll keep looking until I find a shop that will, thanks guys.
