I am thinking of buying a set of chromed H2 rims, before I seen these rims, was cosidering aftermarket 16" rims and 285 BFGs. Curious what you guys think of the 315/70/17 over the 285/75/16. I have a 2500HD 4x4, other than t bars and trimming the front facia/ bumper, what mods are necessary to fit the 315's? What about 285's on the H2? possible?
Thanks for your help.

I completely understand your debate. Here is another idea for you to consider: 295/75/16. Nitto and BFG are they only ones I know of that make this size. Check my thread currently going in this forum:

Hope this helps.

Better keep old tires and rims too because if you go in for driveline
warranty work with 315's they will likely void the warranty on Ally at
the very least and towing a 25 footer with reduced effective gearing
from oversized tires is not kind too tranny either. Not trying to be a
downer, just making you aware of it all for what it is worth.

What snowman is very true. I was very displeased with my pulling ability running 315s and I was only pulling a 4-5k lb boat.
