We just bought a 97 Suburban from a co-worker of my wifes. It's a clean as a whistle as the guy babied it. I'm wanting to change out all the fluids this weekend as it has 113K miles on the odo. Should I stick with the GM extended life antifreeze or switch over to good ole prestone at this time. Any recomendations on the other fluids (tranny, diffs, transfercase)?
I want this thing to last another 113K miles for us.

FWIW - I used the Dexcool in my 5.7 1998 1500 gasser and only changed
it once at 100k miles (5 years). Truck had over 125K on it when I
got rid of it. Didn't have any issues.

Use what anitifreeze type you want when you flush it out but I would
recommand a 60/40 mix (antifreeze to water) for addition
corrosion protection. On the rest I would change the fluid in both axle
(if it is a 4x4) 80w90 will work fine over you could use 75w90 in rear
axle if you want. Some people push syntetic oil for this but I think
money is better spent elsewhere. Also change tranny fluid and filter
too (and transfercase if it is a 4x4) to get everything up to date for
sure as a starting point.
Not sure that I would call a 97 with 113k babied though...
