Alright i dont know if it is true or not, but today we got a new guy at work and we got to talking and we ended up comming apon the subject of trucks and he said that he was a chevy guy also and we talked a little bit then we started talking about fords and the problems they have been having, and he said a few things that i knew were true like the 6.4 recall and the flame thrower exhaust and such, but then he said that 70% of the parts on Fords are made outside the US, and that they are realy only assembled here, now i know some parts on a ford are made outside the the US "but 70%" i dont know that seems a little high u think, the only reason i am asking is because the guy seem like he is a BSer. but on the other hand alot of the things he said i know to be true,

I heard that some of the fords had so many foreign parts that they are considered imports. don't noew if its true.

You can look at the price sticker on the cars and trucks. It will indicate the point of final assembly and percent of foreign parts used. Lot of cars and trucks comming in from Mexico as assembly point. Some Chev trucks and SUV's made down there.

i think many chevs have been made in canada,just maybe not trucks.and i don't think any "overseas"
parts on fords,but hencho en mexico,and parts are sent to u.s. for assembly.but there is a few cars made complete in mexico,but i don't recall which ones.maybe some of the electronics could be asian.but i have never seen any on my truck!

Unless of course you buy a Chevy Equinox or Pontiac Torrent in which case the ENTIRE engine is made in China.
