Well,
I have gone and done it. I waited until the last minute and it is raining. Therefore I don't want to stand in the rain and measure my "mounted" PMD. If anyone has a PMD lying around could you please post the rough dimensions. I don't need anything real precise. Thank You

I got 3.4090" x 2.5075" x 0.923"

Bolt pattern 2" x 2.850"

I noticed that all coolers have the fins running the wrong way. At least in my way of thinking. The greatest heat concentration is in the middle running crossways from the length. Directly below the wiring connector between the transistors. I would concentrate at least two fins covering this area. I have used a infra red temp gun on the PMD and most of the heat is generated here. Running the fins the long way will not absorb as much. Anyone care to comment on this is welcome.

Anyone thought of using brass screws on the PMD to transfer more heat? Would copper heatsink transfer more heat?

Brass... I don't think it conducts heat well enough to risk the bolts breaking due to vibration. Brass screws don't have a real high load bearing capability. Yes Cu would transfer heat better than Al, but Cu is prone to faster oxidization. And we all know what oxides are... insulators. Besides, and I can't speak for everyone, I wouldn't want some green "thing" in front of my radiator. Thanks for the dimensions guys...
