So whats the deal with the new LMM, i was driving on a really long straight away, and could only get it to go 95 mph.
Is there a way to defeat the governer/speed regulator on these trucks.
My speedo reads 120 mph, but i cant get there from here. This SUCKS.
Its really Quick, but i want more top end. Is there a SAFE-way to get higher top speed.

The people on here don't like it when I say that my Quad box on my '07 will make it go more than 120 mph, even loaded with the trailer.:D:D:D

Your tires will probably handle 95 MPH only, but if you insist, a Predator tuner can change your governor.

I keep mine at 95mph. I don't need to go any faster than that. It's getting to 95mph that's fun.

Install a U, H, V, W, Y or Z rated tire.

1/4 mile in the 12 second range is performance IMO. (not much tho, because there are hundreds of trucks faster than mine :) )

120mph on the street is just stupid..... ;)

as I said tho, just my oppinion

When I installed the PPe Tuner (now on level 4) I left the govenor at 95mph to avoid temptation. I still have not gone 95 to cut it out. I like my license and can't live with out it.

There is nothing better than looking in a rear view mirror of a 3/4 ton truck and seeing a 2007 corvette being left behind you.

I have gotten to 133 on the back roads of Wyoming. Held it there for a while. SuperChips won't let go any faster but the truck would go a hell of alot faster.

Are tranny mods necessary on level 4 or 5 of the ppe tuner?

BigRedHD
10-18-2007, 06:16 PM
You Might Be Able To Get Away With 4 But Anything Higher You Need A Tranny.

I love speed as much as the next guy, but I REALLY hope those of you hitting these higher speeds have considered the possibility of your non-speed rated tires coming apart on you at higher speeds.

I push my LS1 Camaro SS over 160 mph relatively often, but I also run nothing but Z-rated tires on it.

Not hating on anybody, or talking down to anybody. Just offering a friendly word of caution. :)
