Iv got a 3" exhaust on the way with a 4" tip, and i talked to a guy at a local diesel shop who said the wasnt much differnce in the price of stock injectors and performance ones, so i might as well go with them. After this im debating on wether or not to get a chip which he says he can get me for $300. He talked like id probably be ok with this, but what im wantin to know is would this setup work ok(im not wantin to spend any more than just on this stuff) and is my truck to far over the hill (156k) to be chipped without messin somethin up and spendin even more $

You should probably get a boost and EGT gauge set on it so you can tell what's going on when you 'chip' it! DRive by the EGT's. Might do better with a boost fooler, I'm not sure what all the chip will control...

You can still use a boost fooler with the chip but guages should come first because you will drive by them. Edited by: quantum mechanic

Gages should be on top of your list before doing anything that modifies either fuel or boost level/schedule, especially with 156K you need visual indication when you are pushing it too far, visit the FAQ area at the top of this forum, some good posts there should answer most of your questions.
