2006 Chevy LBZ 56,000 miles, take it in for an oil change (dealer) and noticed a drip of oil coming out of the axle tube that enters the Diff. It's out of warranty so the service manger called the local GM rep and he said to try epoxy around the tube first. I'm taking it in on Friday, I would think this a manufacturing issue and the axle should be replaced but I guess I'll let them try this before calling GM.

I have never seen this, has anyone had this issue?

Seen it at my dealer a few times, most times epoxy seals the leak, if not a small weld where the area of the leak is repairs em, if you are out of warranty i would try to find a cheaper way than replacing the housing!!!

I personally would weld it, seals the leak and will strengthen the housing.
