If you are running a big tune, yes you will get a very slight 2-3 flare shift under part throttle.........at times........not under full throttle....
It depends how deep you are in the pedal..........
It does not feel just like a stock trans because of the Triple Disk TC.......jigher line pressures , etc.
Just set one power level and don't touch it.......I run the Xtreme 99% of the time except when it first starts up in the morning and I have no engine temp.......once I have 180 or so degrees on the temp gauge I run the Xtreme.
Give it some time.......150 miles means nothing it's how many shifts it's made in that time.

yeah i guess it is the 2-3 shift . i was figuring that it would shift like a old turbo 400 with a shift kit , i guess not .

A suncoast will feel like stock shifting at low and part throttle with a mild program. When you run a real big program like tony said you will get some part throttle flairs if the converter isnt locked. When you are at WOT the converter locks and all is good
You get the TAPS reset and switched to fast learn? Makes a big difference.

just need a tech 2, a snapon scanner, or a master tech. A gm shop should have one or just about any other place. Pretty easy, hook it up to the scanner, go into the menue and tell it to reset the taps. Different scanners have differnt procedures but it can be done in a couple of minutes. Some you can just tell it to go into fast learn(with should be sufficent) some you clear the taps and it goes automaticly, you can also clear the garage taps.....havent done that persoanly. Basic thing IMO is just get it into fast learn.
It will shift real wierd at first but it will settle down quick.

Nope dont have to put it back to stock, if you have a lb7 and he has the 01 cartrage(or the newer version) you should be good to go. If you have an LLY I dont know if the 01 cartrage will work?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif What do you have?
Pretty easy, first when you enter the vin stuff you gota lie to it if he has the 01 cartrage. Tell the scanner your trucks an 01. Next go into the trans menue, take a look at the adapt data and scoll through it and you should notice that all or most of the stuff syas slo by it. Means that cell is in slo mode. Now go into the clear tap cell, I think its in the functional test menue. Click yes and go back into were you looked at the adapt data and it should all be in FST. A snapon scanner is pertty easy to navigate with, you cant really do anything to hurt your truck so dont worry about screwing anything up. Just dont start messing with turning sylinoids on or off while you are diving in the functional test menue unless you knwo what you are doing. Any questions lem know. Or talk to mike, he can walk you though it, or leme know if you want my # and I should be able to walk you though it. Edited by: ratlover
