For you ford guys, maybe this has already come up in here B4 But, if not just a heads up.
Talking w/ my cousin last week (who has a 99' 350 SD 4x4 stroked) He was noticing rear end lube on the ground where ever he parked his truck. To make a long story short he crawled under his truck and the rear end was leaking lube, he thought maybe it was the seal but was not. What it turned out to be was that the diff. cover rusted through. He made some phone calls to ford dealerships and every one he called the techs said "Oh yeah, thats common for the SD, and the oil pans were rusting through on the 1/2 ton trucks too" So a word of advise would be I'd recommend crawling under your trucks and look for rust on the covers... If rusted wire brush off and repaint the cover!!
