I'm running 285's on my new LMM Duramax. I took it back to the dealership to have them recalibrate for the larger tires, and after two hours, I was informed that they (GM/Chevy) did not have the software to make the necessary changes. The dealership was able to change the codes on the tire pressure sensors. Anybody have any recommendations for a tuner or other remedy?

Just got my PPE tuner today. It seems pretty straight forward to use. I adjusted my tire size in like 2 min. I wasn't as shocked with the additional power as I thought I would be. I am on level 3 right now with 1 to go. I'm glad I bought it. EFI live sounds the best for tuning, but I think it's a little over my head to be honest. This is the first tuner I have ever tried.

The price is SCREAMIN high on EFI live. Keep us posted on fuel economy. How much hp/trq does level 3 add?

There is about $100 price difference between EFILive and PPE - and that price difference is pretty good value for money.
With an initial purchase, EFILive allows you to tune 2 vehicles, so the effective cost/vehicle is already 1/2 price of the competition. We are also the only product on the market that tunes the LBZ/LMM TCM.
We also allow you to tune up to 221 vehicles (including gassers) - not that the average user needs that many, but as users buy and sell vehicles and we continually add support, it's a pretty good investment not to have to keep upgrading hardware. It also becomes a "cheap" option if you can charge your buddies the cost of a license and tune their vehicle too.
EFILive also comes with Black Box logging, and the best scan tool on the market. Throw in the fact you've got a tool comparible to a TECH II, and features only available with EFILive and it's very good value for money.
Cheers

I think level 3 is 160hp not sure about the torque. I know EFI is probably better, but I don't have a laptop and am not much good with computers.

Guys, with that PPE tuner you NEED to do the modifications to the airbox. I ran it without the cuts and it helped modestly. After the cuts it runs like it was meant to. VERY worthwhile. I just wish the damn directions on how to do it were more straightforward.
Also, the calibrating part of the PPE is slick as hell and works well. I tested it post fact with a handheld GPS. It is off by the same as the factory settings were.

Bartman, did you say your dealer was able to recalibrate your tire sensors for the 285s? Or was it adjust for tire size? Speed correction? I tried everything with my tire senors and can't get the rear tires reset for less than 80#. Guess I'll have to see the dealer.
