Have a 95 Burb with the 6.5. Has been diagnosed by a dealer to have a bad throttle postion sensor. Trouble is, a new sensor comes with the entire pedal assembly and the cost is over $400. Does anyone know where I might find a used one or if there is a way to repair the old one?

One thing you can try is to 'Clean' the old one. Drill 2 holes in teh sideof the Round Plastic 'container, one at the edge, one near-to but NOT Dead Center. Fill with Electric contact cleaner, swirll and swish, shake rattle and roll, then drain and let it dry out. Worth a try..

Call a diesel injection parts supplier. If you look up trucks in a phonebook and find a parts supplier, tell them your part and when he says he doesn't have it ask him if he knows who would have it.

This has worked for me to find wholesalers of eletronic diesel injection parts.
