OK Diesel Techies, here's the scenario.......
When in neutral or in gear with foot on brake I try to hold the
accelerator pedal to artificially raise the idle to around 800 RPM's
(why? because it's therehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif). The rpm's
will hold at 800 for about 3 seconds and knock down to idle speed even
though I have'nt moved the throttle position. But, if the engine
is under a little load I can hold it at the 800 mark.
Why does it do this???? I'm pretty sure this is normal - just curious as to why it does this??
