I've seen many different designations for BioDiesel (B20, B100, B99, ect.) in the last couple months and was wondering if there is a chart, web site or the knowledge of our Diesel Place menbers which explains each different fuel and it's primary characteristics, use, benefits and approximate cost. I'm very new to this WVO and BioDiesel idea and before I run some in my tank I'd like more facts.
Thanks Smitty!!

It's extremely simple. The number after the "B" designates what percentage the biodiesel is in the final fuel. For instance, B20 indicates the fuel is 20% biodiesel and 80% petroldiesel.
A good source for basic biodiesel information is the National Biodiesel Board's website which is www.biodiesel.org (http://www.biodiesel.org) .

Habanero, does the percentage of Biodiesel relate to cetane value, or is there another factor which affects this?

A higher percentage of biodiesel does generally mean the resulting fuel has a higher cetane number. Nailing down an exact cetane number for biodiesel is impossible, however, because different feedstocks make biodiesel with different cetane numbers. There are tables on the net that give general guidelines, though, so a google search should turn up some information on the subject.
