Tried to do a vehicle build at the gm site to see but their servers are slooooow and I didn't want to wait. Anyone know if there's a factory unit available? How 'bout an after market unit?

thanks!

I went with the Garmin 2620. It has all the roads preloaded for the USA and it's plug & play.

The best price I found was at gpsnow.com $949.00 + shipping

The new GMC Denali has it. I would ASSUME that you can install it on a non Denali package, but assumptions have gotten me in trouble before. The Garmin 2620 is a sweet setup, but there is a Garmin Quest that is close to the 2620, but half the price. The NAV system the Denali gets is too sweet, wished they were available on the 2005 Silverados.

Regarding the 2620, where did you mount it? What is the power source, is it the cigarette adapter? What do you think of the quality of the unit, is the voice ok or does it sound tinny? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

There's been a couple of people that have retrofitted
the Caddy system into the Silverado. Might check this
topic; http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=14446&T (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=14446&TPN=1) PN=1

I believe there may be a few other discussions on aftermarket NAV system installations too so just do a
search on NAV (etc).
