Greetings from a pretty new member,
I've located an '07 Silverado 'Classic' LBZ/DRW with every option I could need. The truck, however, does not come with the factory Brake Controller. Is this something I can have the dealer install, or am I looking at gettin' an 'after-market' unit? I'll be pulling a 'New Horizons' 34' "MotoMover", (ToyHauler), with a 15K GVWR.
Thanks for any help you veterans can give me,

The Silverado Classic was not available with a factory brake controller. You can get a electric brake controller and have it installed or install it yourself...not really a tough job to do. I have a Prodigy brake controller and it is great....highly recommend it.

Go with the Prodigy brale controller. Read this thread http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=151101&highlight=prodigy I haven't heard of anybody trying to put a 07.5 factory controller in an 07 classic.

Hey Gary,
Thanks for the quick reply sir! All I hear from you guys who've done this for awhile, (I towed 5ers. daily back in the 70's), is that the Prodigy is the hot set-up.
I wasn't aware that the 'Classic' didn't come with the factory BC. I just now talked with the salesman I've been dealing with and he also explained that to me.
Thanks again bud....(I ain't a bad "wrench" so I'll do 'er myself).
Regards,
Tom S.

No wrench needed. Order the harness with it and it's all plug and play - literally.

Understood sir. Merely using the term that we used to call mechanics back in the day, (waaay back, ahem). Thanks for the Prodigy tips from you guys.

My 07 classic came with the wiring harness needed to install the brake controller. It is a simple 4 wire connection, a plug in under the dash and a fuse install under the hood. Did you not get this harness?
