I'm in the process of doing some work to my truck and need to remove the turbo side manifold heat shield. I'd rather not break it, does it have more bolts/screws aside from the two little ones that screw into the injector line brackets? I took those off and pulled some on it, but i won't budge. It might be just rusted in place, but i don't want to "gorilla" it off and mangle it. Anyone have any advice on this one? Thanks.

From what I remember it's just those 2 screws/bolts, but there are tabs that slide in down by the manifold and it is a pretty tight fit. Mine came off no problem when I did my injectors.

Have a look at these pics and it might help you.

I took the heatshield off before removing the turbo to make removal of the turbo easier and put the heatshield back on before installing the turbo to make the heatshield installation easier.

Thanks Dave, i thought that was all there was to it but before yanking on it though i'd ask first. Also yours looks as greasy as mine does! I'm installing new injectors/glow plugs and may replace the valve stem seals while i'm in there.
