I know we all have had this question facing us all the time. My LB7 was all pipe from turbo back, but this LLY has a cat. What do I do?

A. Remove both muffler & cat

B. Remove only cat

C. Remove only muffler

D. Leave Stockhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif

I do love the the LLY turbo whine. Any help would be great.

Some things you need to determine first.

How much more exhaust note do you want?

What look do you want?

What emissions requirements are there in your state?

What can you afford?

Once you answer these questions, you will know better what you want to
do. I have the single T-409 MBRP, and no cat. I think it
sounds great. I had the exhaust alone on for a while, and it was
only marginally louder than stock. Then put the cat delete pipe
on, and a bigger difference than the cat-back system alone. I am
not worried about emissions, because I saved the stock exhaust and cat,
so I can put the cat back in if I need to.

The T-409 is reasonably priced, others are more expensive. I
wanted a stock look, so this fits my needs. If you are after
'Bling' then you could go with the cool duals T-304 system, a bit
pricey but looks cool and sounds good.

Hauln',

Bimpala has pretty much hit it on the head with his info. Here is some info that was done on this site just a few months ago, plus you can go to our site and get pics and sound bites if you want. We now also have a 4 inch resonator that can be added to the systems that folks get that remove the cat and it pretty much keeps the sound level at the pre with cat level! Call me if you need any help.
