I am looking for a program that will allow me to switch the power levels or easily change the power levels. I would like to be able to select an economy tune when needed and later select a higher power level when it is time to play. I plan upgrading the transmission next year yet I would like the benefit of an improved tune now without harming the transmission. I was wondering if a tune was developed for EFI live or HP tuners that would accomplish this task. I have the Banks 6 gun power PDA and when it works it works well but I am loosing faith in the plug in tuners.

The nice thing about those two are the adjustability, i mean, you do whatever you want to to it. They're always ready for a change.
The only thing that your plug in has over them is the ability to switch tunes on the fly w/out having a reflash.
The one good thought i have is, it seems the more power you're putting out the better the economy actually is as backwards as that sounds... the fuel gauge all depends on your foot :)

With EFILive you can install either a 2 position or 5 position switch in you cab for switching on the fly (LB7 and LLY), and then using a DSP operating system, load multiple tunes that you've created into your ECM.

Most EFILive resellers throw in a customized tow tune with purchase, which allows you to see gains in your truck, and gives you a starting point for self tuning. If you talk to the reseller before purchase, they will make sure your tow tune is suitable for a stock transmission.
