I have replaced map sensor, checked boost lines, changed air filter and visually checked wiring for map sensor. I have also disconnected the banks and i still get a p0106. When the truck is running good the sensor reading is 14.9 to 15.9 and when it is running bad, poor throttle response and low boost pressure from gauge and 11.2 on sensor What else can i check before i put it in the shop .

I think that code can either be the MAP sensor or the baro sensor. Try this thread: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138355

How long did you have the 6 gun disconnected before you checked codes again? Unless you cleared codes before disconnecting it, they could still be in there from before.

Thanks for help. I talked to a friend that works the parts department at the local chevy dealer and the mechanic said to clean sensors with electrical cleaner and check the 2"tube that connects air inlet pipe to the resonator(6.6thingey). I did all of this yesterday and hooked the 6 gun back up.Went to work this morning no codes came home no codes and at idle the map is 15.4 in the morning and 14.5 to 14.9 in the heat of the day with a lot better boost pressure reading.I don,t really know if it is fixed until i drive a couple more days. Again thanks for your help. ps in your garage picture # 12 the oil tap is this something you can pick up at the auto parts store??

Pic 12 is actually an oil temp sensor fitting from my gauges/monitor. Those pics are numbered and labeled from a thread I did on my install of the Quad Commander monitor in the LB7 performance forum a year ago or something. I would think the easiest way to get a hold of one would be to talk to the vendors who sell gauges and such.
