ok i have the suncoast stage 3 in now . i am trying t get some miles on it and a chance to relearn shifts . my questios are . how many miles before i go to the track this weekend and turn it up ?

next is my juice , should i let it set on defuel all shifts or change that . and will it run better on just the quad 215 setting or should i do the 125 juice and the 215 quad ?

and finally , i hear all of this talk of the TTS Extreme . did i screw up and buy the wrong thing by getting the quad . this is a 04 and it is the newest tune they have .

any help on getting the best et would be great . should i put on the stock wheels and tires or run my 325/60/18's . if stock should i crank DOWN the torsion bars ? i do have sleeves also . sorry for being so long , any help would be great .

after all this is done my next post will be WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT ???? THANKS GUYS

I would turn your power level up now, not when you get to the track because it will shift poorly as soon as you turn it up. Turn the defuel off and stack it, let the trans get used to that. You want to go through a lot of upshifts for the trans to learn. There is nothing wrong with the programming you have, I believe that setup has made the fastest #2 run on a Dmax. I would lower your bars down pretty good.

Get the bars as far down in the front as possible. If it will stack the stack it, play at the track and see how your times are. Some things stack and some dont, its hit or miss. You have a lift pump? If not I'd run on a fresh fuel filter. Did you have someone reset your tap cells? Set it to what ever your going to run and get the ally trained to that and leave her there IMO. Defule off on the edge too..

You bought what you bought, unless you are prepared to toss it and go buy something else dont worry if it is the best or not. Work with what you have. If you are prepared to ditch something you just bought then do a bit of investigating to see if there truely is something out there better for your needs. JMOEdited by: ratlover

? dosen't the Ally learn seperately on tow haul and regular. In other words can't he learn the tranny in tow haul mode with his stack turned up and then turn his tow haul off and un-stack to just the edge for daily driving?

I dont believe 100% so. It seems(to me anyway) that it 1/2 learns things from the other mode. I dont think it keeps seperate tables for TH vrs non TH, just a table based on LU, throttle position, load, rpm, if the wind is blowing from the south, ect

Maybe someone can give a yea or nay? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Would be a very cool deal though. Especially if someone were to make it easy to access different tables. It would be kinda like having a TTS ecm. Flip a switch for your "race" tune, or click it to your Gma caddy like tune. Kinda copilot like almost in a way except not really. I need an Extreme makeover for my transhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

LB7 or LLY?

First, put on the stock wheels and tires and run 40-50psi up front and 30-40 psi in the rear.

Next, lower the torsen bars all the way down and get rid of any extra weight (spare, tailgate, toolbox, stuff in the cab, ect).

Then, put the quad on 215 stacked with the edge on level 1 and play around on the street in 4wd doing boosted launches and 1/4 mile runs in reg and tow/haul mode to see what seems the quickest but locking up the converter sooner in T/H mode should be quicker. Maybe try the quad on 135 or 165 to see if it runs better stacked with the edge on level 4 or 5.

If you have a safe place to do some testing on the street it will save you test and tune time at the track so you can focus on the tree, reaction times, launching and tire pressure while beating ricers, mustangs, hemis, ect.

At the track, make sure you go around the water box and leave on the 2nd or 3rd yellow before the green for a better R/T.

Use the stack combo that seemed the quickest on the street and make a pass with a 4wd launch with 5psi. Next pass launch with more boost and keep doing so until you get tire spin. Then start playing with air pressure to keep the tires biting with higher boosted launches.

Maybe play around with some stack combos that seemed equal on the street to see which gives you the best ET.

Pretty well explained! Worked for me except I ran with no tuner and the VA, on some runs, and a small 50HP Quad tune with RPM limit removedon others to try to clear 2nd gear cleanly...

THANKS TOMAC FOR THE HELP . I FIGURED YOU WERE THE ONE THAT WOULD CHIME IN ! damn caps sorry !

i just finally put the 215 tune in and WOW! this thing really smokes now . i good friend of mine just installed twins on his 01 cummins and i rode in it today . it did not impress me at all . he kept asking "is it faster than your truck "? i said well yeah you just spent $5000 it should be . meanwhile i was laughing in my head thinking boy oh boy is he gonna be upset when i put in the 215 tune . i know with the 135 and the juice 125 it could have beat him .

he has some bugs to work out , maybe it will run better then . anyway thanks for all the help , you guys are great on here !!
