You can get them at your dealer or at any auto store. They used to come
with the trucks back in 02. When I bought my 03 it did'nt have one so I
kept the one from the 02

My 04.5 came with an adapter...it was taped to the trailer brake controller wiring.

My 2005 came with the adapter taped to the brake controller wiring as well. It was in teh glove box. Your's probably should have had one as well.

You can get them at a U-Haul store. That is where I got the one for my old Tahoe. Used it for a couple of years with no problem. The one that came with my Siverado was much better quality than the one from U-Haul though.

They stopped including them for a while for cost reduction. I guess enough people complained that they put them back in.

You may want to consider getting the adaptor with a flat five, just in case you run into a trailer that has this type of wiring. Flat four will work with a flat five, but not the other way around.
