if uv got a 6.5 u probably know bout the probelms with the pumps by now. well mines startin to cut out again not sure but am guessin it the pump "AGAIN". I was wonderin if the fuel was turned up would make these pumps work a little better or would it make it operate worse, i was kinda wantin some more black smoke anyways so that part wouldnt matter.

Describe cutting out, lot of troubleshooting to do 1st before condemning pump, you talking IP or lift pump, Black smoke does not always = performance, too muck black smoke is incomplete combustion/wasted fuel. more data please

What exactly is it doing?

yeah need more information to help you, by cutting out do you mean stalling? does it occur at idle, under load at highway speed? does your ses light illuminate? Do you have any DTC codes tripped? Optic sensor adjustment is not going to cure your problem.
