I'm coming along nicely with my jeep diesel project. It's time to figure out what type of radiator I need to run in it. I have already removed the frame crossmember so that I can move the radiator forwards some so I can fit a cooling fan. I am fitting the serpentine system from the later 6.5 engine that places the alternator and vacuum pump on the passenger side and the A/C and power steering on the driver side. The stock mechanical fan clears the steering gear box by only a couple of millimeters, so I am pretty sure that it is unsafe to try using it. I can close the hood and run the fan, but only if I remove the hood safety catch and a few other things. I figured on possibly using the Mark VIII fan (comes in Ford Taurus with 3.8L) that reportedly flows 4500 CFM.

I am definitely not going to use the stock 2-row radiator for my engine. At the very least I will be using a three row radiator. The stock 2-row radiator is 11" tall by 31" wide, surface area of 341 square inches. I do not plan on doing towing with this Jeep.

I haven't taken pictures of it with the intake on yet, but it fits with the stock air cleaner and the hood closes.

Edit: I have forgotten to post latest pictures. I will do that now.
