does anybody have a problem when they start their truck none of the dash lights work also the lights on the radio. the check all the crap lights come on but no mileage or nothin i turned it off then back on and they worked. i thought maybe temp outside it was 85f then it happened like 5 hours later at 73f. jus seeing if anybody can tell me whats up. this has also happened b4 2day

from your user name it looks like you have a 06? if so, the bcm looks at every thing right as you put the key in the ignition, when it sees the batt's are low it may save all the power it can an tell stuff not to "wake up" an they wont come on untill the truck gets some help from the alt.

Loose battery cable. If you can rotate the battery cable at the lug, then the center bolt is too loose. If that doesn't cure it, have the batteries electronically load tested.

u kno usually if u watch where the miles are and start it up it blicks and does its display but it didnt the radio was on but the lights were out. the truck was runnin and i backed out of a house i was at but no lights jus the orange one under prndm1 it worked finenext time and that was 2min later. batt. better be good still after one year and yep its a 06 this happened a couple times a bout a month or two ago

It won't be the first bad battery I've had recently in something new, but definitely check the battery terminal bolts byattempting to rotate the cables.

not callin u a liar ill go check anyway but why would it still start if they were loose. it cranks perfect i dont kno what the story is ill put on my fix it under warranty list with all the other problems

do you have your dash lights dimmed down all the way?

i was waitin for somebody to ask that:) but na i keeps em at a lil above half.i never touched em during the whole ordeal second time that day they came on a min later by themself i think my truck is:cookoo:

With the multiple cables, naturally the crank voltage goes down one wire while ECM and such goes down another. Your dash will not wake up if the cranking voltage is too low (I believe it's 10.5 volts.) Just another stupid quirk.
