so, i'm going to be putting a 6.2 in a scout soon, and I'm trying to decide wether to run a regular aluminum radiator, or a doublepass aluminum one.
the doublepass is split about halfway down, so the fluid comes in the top, goes across, then drops down the other half of the rad and goes back across and then out. just curious if that would cool nice, or be more of a restriction on the system and actually make it worse. i can get it in 28"x19, or 31"x19. whatcha think?

go with the rad that will give max cooling, most sq inches etc.

I'm guessing either one would probably do the job, but I'm having a hard time picturing the "doublepass" radiator... Personally, I'd probably go with the more traditional "regular" radiator but that's just me.

Just to help folks visualize what a "double pass" radiator is.

Picture two radiator cores, one stacked on top of the other. The flow is similar to a "U" shape turned on it's side. Water flows into a side tank from the upper radiator hose (this side tank is only for the "top" radiator core) and then flows across this top core. The end tank at the other end is open to both cores. It flows back across the bottom core to the other end tank (which is dedicated to only the bottom core) where it is extracted by the lower radiator hose.

One consideration is that both hoses of the radiator are on the same side. Just something to plan for in your particular swap.
