Is there any way to keep the check engine light from coming on every time I have my Diablo tuner turned on? The code is usually a bullcrap one like "glow plugs" if I go in and read the errors it is throwing. As soon as I change the truck back to stock, the light never comes on again. Any tricks guys?

are you leaving it plugged in while you are driving around? Just trying to understand what you are doing when the check engine light is on.

My light comes on all the time and in every power setting. And YES, mine goes into limp mode everytime there is a hard (2 gear) shift down. I hate it! I can hardly pull a trailer using my tuner. What is this all about....is my tranny weak and need a upgrade? I was going to put a TTS torque converter in my truck, I guress better sooner than later. What do you guys think?

P.S. - I figured out that when the truck is thrown into limp mode, you don't have to disconect the battery. If you just come to a stop, and shut off the engine for at about 30 sec., the computer will be reset and the tranny will be back to normal. I have been disconecting the battery for years...think of all the time I have wasted!

Sounds like you are limpin' the tranny. You will need more than a torque convertor. Maybe a SUNCOAST stage 3, look up MIKE L. He can much better help you then me.

Have you been running 85 or 120 hp tunes much? Those with you tires will cause tranny problems.

And what are the code #?

I had a problem with my glow plugs that was intermintet, turns out it the Mega fuse (like 180 amp fuse:eek: ) was blowen. I however never ran a diablo predator. NICE TRUCK

It's not the Predator that is causing the glowplug code. It 's the glowplugs or the relay or the fuse.

Hope your reading-up on tranny upgrades, ATS or Suncoast stage 3 for under 500rwhp or that stage 5.

I am on a work trip right now, but I will get you guys the codes when I get home. I hate to stray from the original post, but does anyone have preferences between the ATS, TTS and SunCoast Tranny upgrades. I obviously need one of them! They sound great on their websites, but I have yet to hear real world comparisons.

I have a Suncoast Stage III with a TTS TC installed by Mike L. No issues, very happy.

I limped mine once....well actually two times but the first one was very minor... I went to pass this car and put it to the floor in 5th. All of the sudden it just tacked out and it would not accelerate unless i left off the pedal (weird huh?) Someone mentioned to me that i messed up my C3 clutches?? I have no idea what that is, just sounds bad and yes i was in 65 hp tune both times. Since then i went down to 40 hp tune and have not had any problems :)

OK guys, I checked the code my truck was throwing. It is giving me a P0236 - Turbo Charger Boost sensor Rnage/Performance. Any ideas? Is this an actual problem or just something the tuner does to the computer?

Sounds as if the sensor is bad, its not a overboost code,so I would say its bad.

Its not the sensor, because if you take the tune out...the light and code goes away. It has to having something to do with the Diablo.

I have got the same code on my truck with Diablo Predator 120 tune a couple times. I wonder if it is the sensor or the Predator??? :Insane:
