I went to a Linex dealer to get an estimate on spraying my bed. After driving away, I got to thinking about the scuffs that I have on the black plastic part of my front and rear bumper. Has anyone thought of having these parts of my truck sprayed with Linex? Will it work and is it a good idea?

Didn't someone get their whole dodge LineX'd a while back?

My game plan is to have the lower portion of all of the body, more or less anything below the trim's line, linex'ed or rhinolined. Plan on trying to color match, if they get close I'll be happy. Darker would be better than lighter if they can't match it exactly. I'll be doing the bed the same way, and when I get the aftermarket bumpers and nerf bars I'll have them done in the same manner.

I've seen it on bumpers, brush guards, lower panels, tool boxes, running boards. The guy that put mine on said he's put it on all kinds of things, not just trucks. He said he even put it on a pipefitters heavy wrenches so they wouldn't be slippery.
My Line-X guy had various things in his shop sprayed... A (now
petrified) donut with one bite taken out of it, a football, the door to
his shop...
He was spraying a 22' trailor when he did my truck... looked really good.

I think it would be a great idea to do the wheelwells. Espacially for you folks in the salted areas.

when my buddy bought his lly in june he immediatly wanted to get his box sprayed, as did i so we went looking for any deals...then he got to thinking that he might want to do wheelwells, but when we went to talk to different folk, they all said itd be almost impossible to make it stick, unless you did right after it came off the truck...Siad it was more or less due to there would be too much crud and crap up in there that it wouldnt stay up in there....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif
Almost had to take offensive to that, since im anal but trying to keep it nice...but what can you do...

I had my 'burb done from the side trim down all the way around. It had alot of paint beat off behind the rear wheels, plus chips all the way to the front wheels. It was cheaper to do than paint, and will never wear off. Looks cool tool. I had the rear bumper done on my '91, sure is easier to stand on when wet.
